Zinc Oxide

Zinc Oxide, also called as Calamine and Zinc White, is an inorganic chemical compound that mainly occurs naturally as a mineral. This mineral zincite offered in different grades can also be produced synthetically. This compound can be used topically given to its mild astringent and antiseptic properties. It is therefore used in pastes and ointments. Zinc oxide appears as white powder that is used in many other products in several industrial segments like paint, rubber, ceramic, glass, battery, food supplement, medicine, etc. Zinc oxide is non toxic and therefore handling and using it is safe.
